Find the co ordinate of a point which divides the join of (5,6) and (4,-5) internally in the ratio 3 : 2.​

Let the coordinates of P be (x, y). Given m:n=2:5

(x1, y1) = (4,-5) and (x2, y2) = (6,3)

By section formula,

x= 2(6)+5(4) 12+20 32

2+5 7 7

y= 2(3) + 5(-5) 6-25 -19

2+(5) 7 7

Coordinates of P = (32/7,-19/7)
