find the co-ordinate of the line joining (2,-3) and (-4,-6) into 2:3​

Let the point P divides the line joining the points A(2,-3) & B(-4,-6) into 2:3

A(2,-3)______________________B(-4,-6)

By using section Formula:-

[m1x2 + m2x1/m1 +m2 , m1y2+ m2y1/m1 + m2] , the coordinates of P are given by

Here x1 = 2 & x2 = -4

y1 = -3 & y2 = -6

m1 = 2 & m2 = 3

Putting Values:-

=> [ 2(-4)+3(2)/2+3 , 2(-6)+3(-3)/2+3]

=> [ -8 + 6/5 , -12 -9/5]

=> [-2/5 , -21/5]
