find the co ordinate of the point which divide the join of (2,1) and (3,5) externally in the ratio 2:3​

Answer:

x=(mx2-nx1)/(m-n)

where m/n is the ratio

x=(2*3-3*2)/(2-3)

x=0/-1

x=0

similarly,

y=(my2-ny1)/(m-n)

y=(2*5-3*1)/(2-3)

y=(10-3)/(-1)

y=-7

thus,

the co ordinates of the point is (0,-7)
