Find the co-ordinates of centroid of a triangle whose vertices are (0, 6), (8, 12) and (8, 0).​

Given :-

Vertices of traingle - (0,6) , (8,12) and (8,0).

To find :-

Co-ordinates of centroid

Solution :-

• $\sf x_1 = 0$
• $\sf x_2 = 8$
• $\sf x_3 = 8$

• $\sf y_1 = 6$
• $\sf y_2 = 12$
• $\sf y_3 = 0$

Substituting the value in formula :-

$\boxed{\sf \dfrac{x_1 + x_2 + x_3}{3} , \dfrac{y_1 + y_2 + y_3}{3}}$

$\sf = \dfrac{0 + 8 + 8}{3} , \dfrac{6 + 12 + 0}{3}$

$\sf = \dfrac{16}{3} , \dfrac{18}{3}$

$\sf = \dfrac{16}{3} , 6$
