The centroid is the average of the three vertices’ coordinates, so it’s ((-1+1+5)/3, (3–1+1)/3) or (5/3, 1).

HOlla mate!

A ( -1,3), B (1,-1) and C(5,1) are vertices of a triangle,

Therefore, Co-ordinates of the centroid 'G' of the triangle are ,

x= (-1+1+5)/3 = 5/3

y = (3-1+1)/3 = 1

Therefore, G = (5/3 ,1)

Thanks, bye gst!
