let the points be A(-4,0) and B(0,6). And let the points which divides AB in four equal parts be P,Q,R.

therefore, AP = PQ = QR = RB

Q will be mid point of AB. therefore, Q((-4+0)/2,(0+6)/2) = Q(-2,3)

P will be midpoint of A and Q , therefore, P((-4-2)/2,(0+3)/2) = P(-3,3/2)

R will be midpoint of Q and B , therefore, R((-2+0)/2,(3+6)/2) = R(-1,9/2)
