Heya..

I'm here 2 help u..

= (a-1) (a^2 +1)

= a(a^2 +1) - 1(a^2 +1)

= a^3 + a - a^2 - 1

= a^3 - a^2 + a - 1

So coefficient of a^2 is - 1.
