Given:

T₁₈ - T₁₄ = 32

To Find:

Common difference, d = ?

Solution:

$T_{18} = a + 17d$

and

$T_{14} = a + 13d$

Now, As we know

⇒  $T_{18}-T_{14}=32$

On putting the estimated values, we get

⇒  $a+17d-(a+13d)=32$

⇒  $a+17d-a-13d=32$

⇒  $4d=32$

⇒  $d=\frac{32}{4}$

⇒  $d=8$

So that the common difference will be "8".
