6x + 3y = 9

8x = 16
x =16/8

Substitiuting value of x in (1)
6x + 3y = 9
6 (2) + 3y = 9
12 + 3y = 9
3y = 9 -12
3y = -3
y = 3/ -3
y = -1
x = 2 and y = -1 is the value
