complementary angles are the angles that add up to 90 degrees.
so
x+20=90
x=90-20=70 degrees.
so the complement of 20 is 70.

x+60=90
x=90-60=40 degrees
so the complement of 60 is 40.

then,
A. 20
let the unknown angle = x
so,
20 + x =90
x = 90 - 20
x = 70
so,
complement of 20 is 70

B. 60
same as above ,
let the unknown angle as x
x + 60 = 90
x = 90 - 60
x = 30
so,
the complement of 60 is 30
