Given:

Principal (P)= ₹4000

Rate (R)= 5%

Time (n) = 2 years

Amount (A) = P (1+R/100)^n

A= 4000(1+5/100)²

A= 4000(1+1/20)²

A= 4000(21/20)²

A= 4000 (21×21/20×20)

A= 10× 21×21= 10× 441= 4410

Amount (A) = ₹ 4410

Compound interest (C.I)= amount(A) - principal(P)

C.I = A-P

C.I = 4410 - 4000

C.I =₹ 410

Hence, the compound interest is ₹ 410.
