Find the compound interest on rs.500 for 'one and a half year' at 12°/• per anun

Principal (P)=Rs. 500
time (n) = 1 and a half years = 3 half years
rate of interest (r%) =12 p.a
Amount (A) = ?
A = P(1+r/100)^n
⇒ A = 500×(1+12/100)×(1+6/100)
⇒ A = 500×112/100×106/100
⇒ A = 112×106/20
⇒ A = 56×54/5
Amount = Rs. 604.8
C.I =?
C.I = A - P
C.I = 604.8 - 500
C.I. =  Rs.  104.8                                            Ans.
