find the concentration of a solution of 40g common salt(solute) in 520 g water (solvent)?

mass of solute =40g
mass of solvent =520g
mass of solution= mass of solute + mass of solvent
= 40g+520g
=560g
mass percentage of a solution = (mass of solute/mass of solution)×100
=[40/560]×100
=7.14%
