P is on AB such that AP = 2/5 * ABAP/AB = 2/5
AP/AB = 2/5
by compodendo-dividendo, AP/(AB-AP)
= 2/(5-2)
OR AP/PB = 2/3.This means that P divides AB in the ratio 2:3.
Hence, P has co-ordinates as follows:
Abscissa (2*6 + 3*1) / (3+2) = 3
Ordinaate (2*7 + 3*2) / (3+2) = 4
Hence,
P(3,4)is the point.
I Hope its helps u alot.
