let p(x,y) be mid point of AB.
by mid point formula, p(x,y)=((x₂+x₁)÷2,(y₂+y₁)÷2 )
                                     p(x,y)=((7-(-5))÷2,(-8+4)÷2)
                                     p(x,y)=((7+5)÷2,4÷2)
                                     p(x,y)=(12÷2,2)
                                     p(x,y)=(6,2)
                                     p(6,2)

Answer:

(1,-2)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : A(x_1,y_1) =(-5,4)

B(x_2,y_2) =(7,-8)

To find coordinates of mid point i.e.(x,y) on line AB

we will use formula:

x=\frac{x_1+x_2}{2}

x=\frac{-5+7}{2}

x=\frac{2}{2}

⇒x=1

y=\frac{y_1+y_2}{2}

y=\frac{4-8}{2}

y=\frac{-4}{2}

y=-2

So, coordinate of mid point is (1,-2)
