the point on x axis is equidistant from point A and B .
consider that point on x axis as M
therefore AM = MB
therefore M is the midpoint of AB
so by using mid point formula :
x= x1 + x2 ÷2
x=2+8÷2
x=10÷2
x=5
y=y1+y2
y=-4+4÷2
y=0÷2
y=0
Therefore the coordinates of M are ( 5,0)
