Since the point is on y axis

therefore coordinates will be A(0 ,y)

B(3 , 2)

Distance = 5 units

Distance = √(x2- x1)² + (y2 - y1)²

5 =√(3-0)² + (2 - y)²

squaring on both sides

25= 9 + (2-y)²

25 = 9 + 4 - 4y + y²

25 = 13 - 4y + y²

12 = y² - 4y

0 = y² - 4y - 12

= y²-6y + 2y - 12

= y(y-6) + 2 (y-6)

(y+2)(y-6)

therefore y = -2 or 6

therefore coordinates can be

(0 , -2) or (0, 6)
