M(x,y)=(x1+x2÷2 , y1 +y2÷2)

The line is split in half at a 1:1 ratio. Now we know that to find the midpoint of a line segment connecting two points A and B, we can use the formula x=x1+x2÷2,y=y1+y2÷2,

where (x1,y1),(x2,y2) are the two points A and B,

and (x,y) is the coordinate of the middle point, M, of the line segment connecting the points A and B, which are (x1,y1),(x2,y2).
