Find the coordinates of the point on the curve square root x + square root y equal to 4

√ x + √ y = 4
Squaring both sides
x + 2 √xy + y = 16
Now for x = 0
we get y = 16
and for y = 0
x = 16
Thus the coordinates are ( 16,0 ) and ( 0,16 )
