Given :  y - 2x = 1

To Find  : the coordinates of the point where y - 2x = 1 crosses the y-axis.

Solution:

x coordinate of any point on y axis is always zero

y - 2x = 1 crosses the y-axis.

Hence x = 0 at that point

Substitute x = 0

=> y - 2(0) = 1

=> y - 0 = 1

=> y = 1

Hence  ( 0 , 1)  is  coordinates of the point where y - 2x = 1 crosses the y-axis.
