Answer:

The answer will be (8,4).

Step-by-step explanation:

We have given coordinate points and its ratio and i.e. ;

                     Coordinate 1 or (x_{1} , y_{1}) = (5 , -2);

                     Coordinate 1 or (x_{2} , y_{2}) = (9 , 6);

                    Ratio = 3 : 1;                         (let, m1 = 3 and m2 = 1)

Here, we gonna apply section formula;

So, according to section formula, the coordinate with regard of the ratio will be;

                             (\frac{m_{1}x_{2} + m_{2}x_{1}  }{m_{1} + m_{2}  }  ,  \frac{m_{1}y_{2} + m_{2}y_{1}  }{m_{1} + m_{2}  });   (here, m1 and m2 are the respective ratios)

  Now, we gonna put the respective values in our section formulae;

Hence,                   (\frac{3*9 + 1*5  }{3 + 1 }  ,  \frac{3*6 + 1(-2)  }{3 + 1  });

                              (\frac{27 + 5  }{4 }  ,  \frac{18 -2  }{4 });

                              (\frac{32  }{4 }  ,  \frac{16  }{4 });

                               (8 , 4);

Thus our required coordinate is (8,4).

That's all.
