Find the coordinates of the point which divides the join of A(-1,7) and B(4, -3) in the ratio 2:3.

m1/m2=2/3

Now. By Section. Formula

x=m1x2+m2x1/m1+m2. =2*3+3*-2/2+3

=-10+15/5=5/5=1.

Therefore, p(x,y)=p(0,1).
