Answer:

ratio= 3:1

let the coardinate of the point which divides the line segment joining the points (4 .-3) and (8, 5) in the ratio 3:1 be (x,y)

 \frac{3(8) + 1(4)}{3 + 1}  = x \\  \frac{24 + 4}{4}  = x \\  \frac{28}{4}  = x \\ x = 7 \\  \frac{3(5) + 1( - 3)}{4}  = y \\  \frac{15 - 3}{4}  = y \\   \frac{12}{4}  = y \\ y = 3

pls mark my answer as the brainliest

therefore (x,y)=(7,4)
