P(3, 3/2), Q(2, 3) and R(-1, 3/2) divide AB into four equal parts.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the ends of line segment be A(-4,0) and B(0,6). Let points P Q and R divide the line into 4 equal parts.

P divides the line in the ratio 1: 3 (midpoint of AQ)

Q  divides the line in the ratio 2: 2 (midpoint of AB)

R  divides the line in the ratio 3: 2 (midpoint of BQ)

Q = Midpoint of AB = (0+4/2 , 6-0/2) = Q(2, 3)

P = Midpoint of AQ = (2+4/2, 3-0/2) = P(3, 3/2)

R = Midpoint of BQ = (0-2/2 , 6-3/2) = R(-1, 3/2)

The points P(3, 3/2), Q(2, 3) and R(-1, 3/2) divide AB into four equal parts.
