the question doesn't say suppose 2+5 = 12
so 5+8=13

I thought we have to solve the last one and give the correct result
actually we have to find the correct result of the ? mark not to tell which one is correct
from your view point the the last answer that is 5+8=? is also correct because we can put any valie at the place of question mark
but as you said it is of the reading comprehension then your answer is correct that is the 1 option
