find the cost of building a boundary wall around a rectangular plot 100m long and 40 m 75cm wide at the rate of rupees 23 per metre.A 2.5 m long stretch is left on one of the longer sides for entrance.

here is ua answer:

Perimeter of rectangular plot = 2(l+b)
= 2( 150 + 79.5 )
= 2 x229.5
=459 m
The cost of 1 m = Rs 10
So, the cost of 459 m = 459 x 10
= Rs 4590
But, 2.5 m long stretch left.
So, the cost of 2.5 m = 2.5x 10 = Rs 25
The cost of boundary = 4590 - 25
= Rs4565
