Solutions :-

Given :
Length = l = 10 m
Breadth = b = 6 m
Height = h = 6 m

Find the total surface area of tent :-

Total surface area of cuboid = 2(lb + bh + hl)
= 2(10 × 6 + 6 × 6 + 6 × 10) m²
= 2(60 + 36 + 60) m²
= 2 × 156 m²
= 312 m²

Area of base = Length × Breadth
= 10 × 6 = 60 m²

Area of cuboidal tent = 312 - 60 = 252

We have,
Cost of 1 m² = ₹ 5
Cost of 252 m² = ₹ (5 × 252) = ₹ 1260

Hence,
The cost of canvas to make a cuboidal tent = ₹ 1260

As it's cuboidal tent

therefore base wouldn't be included

So Surface area becomes = 2( lb + bh + hl ) - lb

= 2( bh + hl) +lb

As length(l)= 10 m

breadth (b)= 6m

height (h)= 6m

So surface area = 2h( l +b) + lb

= 2× 6( 10 +6) + 10× 6

= 12( 16) +60

= 192 +60

= 252 m^2

As cost is rs 5 per m^2

So cost of canvas to make cuboidal tent of 252 m^2 is 252 × 5= 1260 rs
