Answer:

Area of a rectangular =2 (L+B)

A long and wide field =2 ( 34.20+16.30)

=50.50 multiply 2

= 101 multiply 40

= ₹ 4040

Given :

  • Length of field = 34.20 m
  • Breadth of field = 16.30 m
  • Cost of fencing = Rs 40 per m
  • Cost of turfing = Rs 21 per m²

To Find :

  • The cost of fencing the rectangular field
  • The cost of turfing the rectangular field

______________________________

Solution :

Perimeter of field = 2 ( L + B )

→ Perimeter = 2 ( 34.20 + 16.30 )

→ Perimeter = 2 ( 50.50 )

→ Perimeter = 101 m

Cost of 1 m fencing = Rs 40

Cost of 101 m fencing = 40 × 101 = Rs 4040

______________________________

Area of field = L × B

→ Area = 34.20 × 16.30

→ Area = 557.46 m²

Cost of 1 m² of turfing = Rs 21

Cost of 557.46 m² of turfing = 21 × 557.46 = Rs 11,706.66

______________________________

Therefore :

⇒ Cost of fencing = Rs 4,040

⇒ Cost of turfing = Rs 11,706.66
