Answer:

Given :-

l=20 m

b=15m

rate, ₹75/m

perimeter of a rectangular field = 2(l+b)

2×(20+15)

2×35

70m

cost:-

1m=₹75

70m=?

by cross multiplication

70×75

₹5259

Given :

  • Length of the rectangular field = 20 m
  • Breadth of the rectangular field = 15 m
  • Rate of fencing the field = Rs. 75

To find :

  • Cost of fencing the field

Concept Used :

→ Formula to calculate area of rectangle :-

  • Area of rectangle = l × b

where,

  • l = length
  • b = breadth

To find the cost of fencing the field :-

  • Firstly, find the area of the field by using the formula of area of rectangle.
  • Then multiply the area of the field by the rate the resultant value will be the required answer.

Solution :

Using formula,

• Area of rectangle = l × b

Substituting the given values,

⇒ Area = 20 × 15

⇒ Area = 300

Area of the rectangular field = 300 m²

Cost of fencing the field = Area × Rate

⇒ Cost = 300 × 75

⇒ Cost = 22,500

Cost of fencing the field = Rs. 22,500

Know MorE :

  • Perimeter of reactangle = 2(l + b)
  • Diagonal of rectangle = √l² + √b²
  • Area of square = side × side
  • Perimeter of square = 4 × side
  • Diagonal of square = √2a
  • Total surface Area of cuboid = 2(lb + bh + hl)
  • Volume of cuboid =  length × breadth × height
  • Perimeter of cuboid = 4 (length + breadth + height)
  • Total surface area of cube = 6 × side²
  • Volume of cube = side³
  • Perimeter of cube = 12 × side
