\huge\sf{Solution}

Length = 175 cm

Breadth = 125 m

Perimeter of rectangular park = 2 (Length + Breadth)

= 2 (175 + 125)

= 2 (300)

= 2 × 300

= 600 m

Cost of fencing = 12 × 600

= 7200

∴ Cost of fencing is ₹ 7,200

Question :

Find the cost of fencing a rectangular park of length 175 m and breadth 125 m @ rupees 12 per metre.

Solution :

\underline{\bold{Given:}}

  • Length of the rectangular park=175 m
  • Breadth of the rectangular park=125 m
  • The cost of fencing per metre = Rs 12

\underline{\bold{To\:Find:}}

  • The cost of fencing the rectangular park.

Cost of fencing in unit means we have to find perimeter.

\fbox{\purple{Perimeter=2(length+breadth)}}

 \implies Perimeter=2(length+breadth) \\ \implies Perimeter=2(175 \: m + 125 \: m)\\ \implies Perimeter=2 \times 300 \: m \\\implies Perimeter = 600 \: m

\implies Cost \:of\: fencing 1\: m = Rs\: 12\\\implies Cost \:  of  \: fencing  \: 600 \: m  = Rs  \: (12 \times 600) \\ \implies Cost \:  of  \: fencing\: 600 \: m = Rs  \:7200

\boxed {\green {\therefore{The\: cost \:of \:fencing\:is\:Rs\:7200.}}}
