Given :-

  • length, l = 10 m
  • breadth, b = 5 m
  • rate = Rs. 50 per meter

To Find :-

  • the cost of fencing a regular flower bed by three rounds.

solution :-

we know that,

 \boxed{ \bold{perimeter \: of \: rectangle = 2(l + b)}}

  \bold{ : \implies 2(10 + 5) } \\  \\  \bold{:  \implies 2 \times 15} \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \\  \\  \bold{: \implies 30 } \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:

so, perimeter of flower bed is 30 m

then,

required wire for fencing 3 rounds = 3 × 30 m = 90m

so, length of required barbed wire is 90 m

now, cost of fencing = Length of wire × rate

 \bold{:  \implies 90 \times 50} \\  \\  \bold{:  \implies 4500} \:  \:  \:  \:  \:

hence, cost of fencing is Rs. 4500
