Given:

Length of a room is 6.5m.

Breadth of a room is 5m.

To Find:

The cost of flooring a room.

Solution:

We know that,

Area = Length × Breadth.

Flooring area = 6.5 × 5

Flooring area = 32.5 m².

Side of a square file is 25cm.

Converting meter into m.

⟹ 25cm/100 = 0.25m.

Area of square tile = (0.25)²

⟹ 0.0625 m².

Now,

Number of tiles = Flooring area/Area of square tile.

⟹ 6.5×5/0.25×0.25

⟹ 520

Number of tiles are 520.

Cost per tile is given as ₹9.40.

Total cost = Number of tiles × Cost per tile.

⟹ 520 × 9.40

⟹ ₹4888

The cost of flooring a room is ₹4888.
