Answer:

Given that :-

  • Length of the room is 6.5m
  • Breadth of the room is 5m
  • Side of each square tile is 25cm

»» Rs 9.40 per square tile.

To find :-

  • Find the cost of flooring the room 6.5m by 5m with square tiles of side 25cm at the rate of Rs 9.40 per tile ?

Solution :-

Area of the room = L×B

=> 6.5 × 5

=> 32.5m²

Area of each square tile = Side×Side

=> 1cm = 0.01m

=> 25cm = 0.25m

=> 0.25 × 0.25

=> 0.0625m²

Therefore, Area of each square tile is 0.0625m.

Number of tile required :-

=> Area of room/Area of square tile

=> 32.5/0.0625

=> 520

Cost of 1 tile = Rs. 9.40

Cost of 520 tile => 520×9.40

=> 4,888

Therefore, Cost of flooring a room is Rs 4,888.
