Area of 2 bedrooms = ( x × 10 )

Area of the kitchen = ( y × 5 )

According the question :-

Area of 2 bedrooms + Area of the kitchen = 95        ( given)

 ( x × 10 ) + ( y × 5 ) = 95

10x + 5y = 95

2x + y = 19 ..            ( 1 )

As we know opposite sides of a Rectangle is always equal.

∴ x + 2 + y = 15

x + y = 15 -2= 13

x + y = 13..            ( 2)

Subtracting ( 1 ) from  ( 2 ) we get :-

( 2x + y = 19 ) - (x + y = 13 )

( 2x + y - x - y ) = ( 19 - 13 )

x = 6

now we put the value of x in equation ( 1 )

2x + y = 19

2 ×6 + y = 19

y = 19 - 12 = 7

∴ x = 6

  y = 7

Now we will find out the area of the kitchen :-

Area of the kitchen =( length × breadth )

                                   = ( 7 × 5 ) = 35 sqr m

Total area of kitchen is 35 sq m, and  cost of laying tiles at the rate of Rs 50 per square metre​,   ( given )

Hence the cost of laying tiles in the kitchen will be = ( 35 × Rs 50 ) =Rs 1750.
