Find the cost of levelling a square plot of side 16m 50cm at the rate of rupees 30 per sq.m

Solution :-

Given : Length of side of square plot = 16 m 50 cm = 16.50 m

Area of square = (side × side) sq. units

= (16.50 × 16.50) m²

= 272.25 m²

Given : The rate of levelling a square plot is Rs 30 per m².

1 m² = Rs 30

∴ 272.25 m² = Rs (30 × 272.25)

= Rs 8167.50

Hence,

The cost of levelling a square plot at Rs 30 per m² is Rs 8167.50

Solution :

We can write 16 m 50 cm = 16.50 m too.

We know that the area of a square = Side²

= (16.50)²

Cost of levelling 272.25 m² = ₹30 × 272.25 = ₹8167.5

The required cost of levelling = ₹8167.5
