Answer:

 \huge \bull \: {given}

Height of wall - 4m 50 cm

Length of wall = 6m

Cost of painting per 1 sq. m = 10

 \huge \bull \: to \: find

Total cost of painting

 \huge \bull \: solution

Convert into like terms

4 meter and 50 cm = 4×100+50 = 450 cm

6 metre = 6 × 100 = 600 cm

10 meter = 10 × 100 = 1000 sq. cm

First we have to find the perimeter of 1 wall

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(450 + 600)

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 × 1050

Perimeter of rectangle = 2100 cm

Perimeter of 4 such walls = 2100 × 4 = 8200 cm

Cost of 100 cm of painting = 10

Cost of 8200 cm of painting = 8200/10 = 820

Hence the required cost of painting = 820
