The room is like a type of cuboid remove the area of the roof and floor we need the area of the 4 walls

so the shortest wall would be 6 x 5 = 30m$x^{2}$

then the longest wall would be 10 x 5 =50m$x^{2}$

multiply them by 2 because there are is another wall on the opposite side so its

50m$x^{2}$ x 2 = 100$x^{2}$

30m$x^{2}$ x 2 = 60m$x^{2}$

add them together 100 + 60 = 160m$x^{2}$

divide it by 4

160m ÷ 4 = 40

since you didn't give the cost of painting the walls just multiply the cost per square meter by 40 then there is your answer
