We know that room is a cuboid.Hence,we apply the lateral surface area formula of cuboid.

✦LSA of cuboid = 2h(l+b)

Where,

l = length

b = breadth

h = height

Putting the values,

⇒Area of four walls = 2h(l+b)

⇒ 2(8)(16+12)

⇒ 16 × 28

⇒ 448m²

Now,

We have:

• Breadth of paper = 2m
• Area = 448m²

Using the formula,

✦Area = length × breadth

Putting the values,

⇒Area = lb

⇒448 = l(2)

⇒l = 448/2

⇒Length = 224m

Given,

• Rate = Rs.50
• Cost = ?

Cost = 50 × 224

        = Rs.11200

Hence,

The cost of papering is Rs.11,200
