The rate of polishing is rup 12per sq. m

To Find :

Find the cost of polishing the top of a circular table of diameter 4.2m if the rate of polishing is rup 12per sq. m

Solution:

Diameter of circular table = 4.2 m

Radius of circular table = \frac{4.2}{2}=2.1 m

Area of circular table =\pi r^2 = \frac{22}{7} \times 2.1^2 =13.86 m^2

Cost of polishing 1 sq.m. = Rs.12

Cost of polishing 13.86 sq.m. = 12 \times 13.86=166.32

Hence the cost of polishing the top of a circular table of diameter 4.2 m is Rs.166.32
