Find area that needed to be covered by the wall paper:

Total area of the 4 walls = (6 + 4 + 6 + 4) x 3 = 60 cm²

Total area excluding the door = 60 - 11 = 49 m²

-

Find area of each wall paper:

Area of wall paper = 0.4 x 0.6 = 0.24 m²

-

Find number of pieces of wall papers:

Number of papers needed = 49 ÷ 0.24 = 204. 17 = 205 (round up be because it needs to buy whole piece)

-

Find cost of paper needed:

1 piece of paper = rs 1.40

205 pieces = 1.40 x 205 = Rs 287

-

Answer: The cost of wall papers is Rs 287
