Hello !

We need to first find the overall cost price.

Two varieties of tea, costing Rs. 40 and 50 kg respectively, were mixed in the ratio 3:2.

Thus, overall cost = Weighted average of the two individual costs = 3(40)+2(50)/(3+2) = Rs.44 per kg.

Now, selling price per kg = Rs. 48

Per kg profit = 48 - 44 = Rs. 4

Thus, profit% = (profit/cost) x 100 = (4/44)*100 = 9.09%

Hope this helps! :)

Step-by-step explanation:

Let quantity of one type of rice

= 3x

Let quantity of other type of rice be 2x

Then,

Total Cost price of rice CP

= 3x*35 + 2x*45

= 105x + 90x

= 195x

Selling price of rice

= 5x*41.60

= 208x

Therefore,

Gain % = [(SP - CP) / CP]*100

=[(208x - 195x)/195x]*100

= 1300/195

= 6.6 %
