FOR TURFING.....

AREA OF TRIANGLE = BY HERONS FORMULA.....

S=40+70+90/2

S=200/2

S=100

AREA = √S(S-A)(S-B)(S-C)

AREA=√100(100-40)(100-70)(100-90)

AREA=√100*60*30*10

AREA= √1800000

AREA =1341.640....

AREA = 1341.640m2

NOW COST IS 5 PER M2

SO MULTIPLY THE AREA BY 5 ....

1341.640*5

6708.2

so the cost of turfing is 6708.2rs.....

hope it will help you......☺

shivanivinod2004: Actually what is turfing ?
shivanivinod2004: dont you think it should be done this way ?
shivanivinod2004: √100*60*30*10 = 10√3*2*10*3*10*10 = 10*10*3√2*2*5 = 10*10*3*2√5= 600√5 = 600*2.24 = 1344m^2 and thus cost = 1344*5 = Rs.6720
shreya32457: no its wrong how can u write 60 as 10*2*√3
shreya32457: no
shivanivinod2004: wait .. just see the question..u need to use 2.24 in place of √6 somewhere. You havent used 2.24 at all. Youve just done √1800000 in decimal form. Clarify once more
shreya32457: yes I know ......but its a pro of maths.....so it can be solved by many methods..... I just solved it by another method
shreya32457: and the question of root is still constant
shreya32457: :(
