Answer:

height = 7m

radius = 2m

curved surface area of pillar = 2πrh

= 2×22/7×2×7

= 2×22×2

= 88m^2

curved surface area of 10 pillars = 88×10

= 880m^2

cost of white washing 10 pillars = 880×4.75

= 4180 Rs.

Given :-

  • The radius of a pillar 2mt and 7mt high.
  • The cost of white washing per m² is Rs. 4.75

To Find :-

  • Cost of white washing 10 pillars.

Solution :-

Using ,

Curved surface area of cylinder = 2πrh

Then,

CSA =2 × 22 × 7 × 2 /7

⇒ 2 × 22 × 2 × 7

= 44 × 14/7

\longmapsto\tt{A=\cancel\dfrac{616}{7}}

⇒ 88 m²

  • Cost for 1 pillar = 4.75

Therefore ,

Cost of white washing 10 pillars

= 88 × 4.75

= 418 Rs.
