The cost would be 5150 rupees.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

Length of room, l = 10 meters,

Width, w = 6 meters,

Height, h = 4 meters,

So, the area of the walls of room ( i.e. area of room except base areas ),

A = 2lh + 2wh

A = 2 × 10 × 4 + 2 × 6 × 4

A = 80 + 48

A = 128 sq meters,

∵ we have to paint the wall after allowing 25 sq m for door, windows, etc.

So, the area of wall that have to paint = A - 25

= 128 - 25

= 103 sq m,

∵ Cost of painting = 50 per sq m,

Hence, total cost of painting = area to paint × cost of painting per sq m

= 103 × 50

= 5150 rupees.
