Answer:

Let C.P of bicycle = Rs 100

Actual profit = 10 % = Rs 10 . S.P = 100 + 10 = Rs 110

If only 5 % profit is required then S.P = 100 + 5 = 105

Difference in two S.P's = 110 - 105 = Rs 5

Applying unitary method

For Rs 5 difference in S.P's , C.P = Rs 100

For Rs 1 difference in S.P's, C.P = 100/5

For Rs 10 difference in S.P, C.P = ( 100/5) × 10 = 200

C.P of bicycle = Rs 200 Ans.
