Hi ,
s.p = Rs1755
gain = g = 12 1/2% = 25/2 %
c.p = ?
c.p = ( s.p × 100 ) / ( 100 + g )
= ( 1755 × 100 ) / ( 100 + 25/2 )
= ( 1755 × 100 × 2 ) / ( 200 + 25 )
= ( 1755 × 200 ) / 225
= ( 1755 × 8 ) / 9
= 195 × 8
= Rs 1560
Therefore ,
c.p = Rs 1560
I hope this helps you.

sp = ₹1755
Gain=g = 12 1/2% = 25/2 %
CP = ?
CP= ( SP*100 ) / ( 100 + g )
= ( 1755 *100 ) / ( 100 + 25/2 )
= ( 1755 * 100 * 2 ) / ( 200 + 25 )
= ( 1755 * 200 ) / 225
= ( 1755 *8 ) / 9
= 195 * 8
= ₹1560
CP= ₹1560
