Step 1:

Start making groups of three digits starting from the unit palce.

i.e , Second group : 1 ,

First group : ( 197 )

Step 2:

First group i.e 197 will give us the units digit of the cube root .

As 197 ends with 7 ,it's cube root ends with 3.

So, the unit place of the cube root will be 3 .

Step 3:

Now, take second group i.e. 2.

We know that 1³ < 2 < 2³

As the smallest number is 1 , it becomes the ten's place of the required cube root .

Therefore.,
