Answer :

In order to find current flow in circuit, first we have to find equivalent resistance of the circuit.

Equivalent resistance of loop A :

In upper arm, 1Ω and 4Ω are connected in series.

  • R₁ = 1 + 4 = 5Ω

In lower arm, 4Ω and 1Ω are connected in series.

  • R₂ = 4 + 1 = 5Ω

R₁ and R₂ are connected in parallel.

Therefore equivalent resistance of loop will be

  • R = 5×5/(5+5) = 25/10 = 2.5Ω

Similarly equivalent resistance of loop B will also be 2.5Ω

Finally 7Ω, 2.5Ω and 2.5Ω are in series.

➝ Req = 7 + 2.5 + 2.5

Req = 12Ω

As pee ohm's law, current flow in conductor bis directly proportional to the applied potential difference. V = IR

➠ V = IR

➠ 6 = I × 12

➠ I = 6/12

I = 0.5A
