net resistance,

3 and 12 are in series=15 ohm

6 and 24  are in series =30 ohm

this 15 and 30 are in parallel

net resistance=10 ohm

net current,V=IR

30V=I*10,I=3A

current in 6 ohm= current in 24 ohm since in series connection

branch 1 [3 and 12] and branch 2[6 and 24] are in same voltage due to parallel connection

current through the 6 ohm is 5 A
