Answer:

R(eq.) in ACB = R1 + R2

= 4 + 4 = 8 ohm

R(eq.) in ADB = R3 + R4

= 4 + 4 = 8 ohm

R(eq.) in AB = \frac{R(ACB) × R(ADB) }{R(ACB) + R(ADB) } \\ = \frac{8×8}{8 + 8} \\ = \frac{64}{16} \\ = 4 \: ohm

NOW,

Current, I = \frac{ V}{R} \\ = \frac{12}{4} \\ = 3 \: A

So 3 A is the answer.
